Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee and execute basic house maintenance tasks for our short-term rental business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all our rental properties are in excellent condition, providing a comfortable and safe experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of rental properties to identify any maintenance needs.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the property management team or guests.
• Regular maintenance and cleaning of pools and hot tubs
• Maintaining the grounds of the properties, which includes lawn care, trimming hedges, weeding, and general landscaping.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance work when necessary.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage and maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance work, including costs and completed tasks.
• Provide recommendations for property improvements and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in preparing properties for new guests, ensuring all facilities are functional and presentable.
• Work closely with the property management team to ensure a high standard of property presentation and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of various maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair household appliances and fixtures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and strength, capable of handling manual labor tasks.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and guests.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work on-call for emergency maintenance issues.
