Position Summary:

Pirate Ventures is currently seeking an Outside Sales Events Representative. This role is responsible for promoting and selling services through participation in various events, trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions. This role involves engaging with potential customers face-to-face, showcasing the company's offerings, and building lasting relationships. The primary goal is to drive sales growth and contribute to the company's revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Participation: Plan, coordinate, and execute the company's participation in various outside sales events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
  • Engage Prospects: Initiate conversations with event attendees, answer questions, and provide detailed information about services to create interest and generate leads.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with potential customers, focusing on understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Sales Pitch: Deliver persuasive sales pitches to effectively communicate the value and benefits of services, highlighting unique selling points.
  • Lead Generation: Collect contact information from interested attendees, qualify leads, and enter relevant data into the software system.
  • Sales Negotiation: Initiate and conduct negotiations with potential customers, addressing concerns and objections while positioning the company's offerings as optimal solutions.
  • Follow-Up: Reach out to leads after the event, providing additional information, addressing inquiries, and nurturing relationships to close deals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align messaging, strategies, and promotional materials for events.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Reporting: Provide timely and accurate reports on event performance, lead generation, and sales outcomes to the sales management team.
  • Travel: This role may require travel to various events, trade shows, and exhibitions, both locally and regionally.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, event marketing, or trade show participation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle rejection and objections professionally.
  • Proficiency in using event software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required by events.
