Essence of the role (Role’s Purpose):The Retail Store Supervisor’s primary duties include leading and managing sales floor service excellence and driving daily sales and KPI goals. The Retail Store Supervisor should oversee all register functions while ensuring daily tasks and stocking are ongoing and completed as directed. Other duties include product merchandising and organization, pricing and accuracy, and cleaning tasks. The Retail Supervisor assists management in ensuring procedures are followed and store standards are always met. They may enforce policy, modify cashier schedules, assign daily tasks, and assist with policy compliance when another senior manager is not present to counsel. Recipe for Success (Responsibilities):• Additional duties as assigned• Ensure merchandise presentations and merchandise stock levels are appropriate as well as maintaining current and proper signing.• Responsible for upholding a clean store that include fixtures, shelves, baskets, backroom, and floor according to company policy• Responsible for Cash management, inventory, opening and closing• Assist the manager in marketing, customer relations and daily operations• Operate cash register, accept payment, make change, provide receipts, and bag merchandise for customers• Able to work with POS system to enter customer information• Foster a pleasant work environment for all associates• Stocking: stock and face shelves, retrieve back/top stock as necessary to fill all locations. All pricing, shelf tags and dates will be verified, and any discrepancies should be corrected immediately.• Familiar with all products, their general use and location in the store.• Performs light store maintenance as assigned.• Responsible for training Retail Associates in their areas of responsibility to include providing outstanding customer service and learning about new and existing products• Promotes incentives, promotions, and marketing initiatives• Oversees the productivity, breaks and daily scheduling of all cashiers and communicates any performance issues to management.• Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by ensuring a warm and friendly environment. Leads and directs by example.
