Job Summary:

The Field Services Supervisor must be team-oriented, proactive, and goal-driven. This position is responsible for ensuring that all required samples are collected from customer facilities per permit requirements. This is accomplished by maintaining necessary schedules and managing the field technician’s schedules. The Field Services Supervisor will be responsible for reviewing, understanding, and interpreting customer permits to ensure required sampling activities are scheduled.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily scheduling of all field activities including permit review and chain of custody creation;
  • Communicate with customers by phone, through email, or in person to meet their needs; 
  • Must project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction;
  • Review permits to ensure appropriate samples are collected at the specified frequency;
  • Occasional sampling and/or going on-site to assist with training or to assist clients with problems in their process;
  • Make recommendations to clients about how to investigate compliance issues;
  • Create all chain of custody forms for sampling in accordance with permits or customer requests;
  • Ensure all necessary supplies are available for Field Technicians;
  • Communicate with customers and Field Technicians to relay changes in sampling schedules as necessary;
  • Assist with purchasing as needed;
  • Present a professional demeanor with clients;
  • Complete daily document forms;
  • Complete tasks within the assigned schedule;
  • Maintain a very clean and organized workspace;
  • May require overtime and hours in the evening or on weekends with short notice;
  • May be required to assist with field services tasks due to employee absences or special customer requests;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience;
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required;
  • Current Driver's License with good driving record;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform efficiently under time constraints;
  • Organization related to scheduling is a must;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet;
  • Current Driver's License with good driving record;
  • Prior experience with ISCO autosamplers is preferred;
  • Positive attitude;
  • Able and willing to work overtime when needed, including evenings and weekends;
  • Working conditions include exposure to chemicals and experiments common in an environmental testing laboratory;
  • Working outside in the elements;
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less);
  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors;
  • Driving for long periods.

Education:

High school diploma or GED

Relocation:

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements:

This position requires some local travel.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8 hours, Monday-Friday in the SPL Arlington, TX client locations. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
