Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Social Services to join our team. As the Director of Social Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our social services department. This includes program development, budgeting, relationship management, and supervising the other social worker. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and behavioral health, with a passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement social service programs to meet the needs of our clients
- Manage and supervise a team of social workers, providing guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate services and resources
- Develop and manage departmental budgets
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, agencies, and stakeholders
- Provide direct assistance to clients as needed
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in social work or related field
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
