PIONEER Technologies Corporation is Hiring a Project Geologist Near Olympia, WA

Job Description:
We are seeking a project geologist to fill a full-time position in our Olympia, WA office. Responsibilities include performing environmental investigations including sampling of various environmental media (soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, air), overseeing contractors at remediation sites, completing soil boring logs and monitoring well construction summaries, preparing reports and work plans, and conducting other fieldwork. Typical projects include investigation and remediation of sites with soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor and/or indoor air impacted by chlorinated solvents, pesticides, petroleum, hydrocarbons, metals, and other contaminants. Typical field activities include collecting environmental samples, installing monitoring wells, overseeing remediation/construction activities. This role would fill a mid-level role in our Team between senior and junior levels, with a great opportunity to learn from senior staff and train junior staff. Strong upward trajectory and interesting workload including large-scale remediation projects throughout the USA and abroad.

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and project management skills
  • B.S. in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills, proven ability to complete wide variety of tasks independently
  • Ability to travel and work remotely (e.g., travel up to one week per month as required to complete projects)

Ideal candidate would also have:

  • Private sector consulting experience
  • Knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and MTCA regulations
  • Significant field work experience
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
  • GIT or PG in Washington, Oregon, or California
  • M.S. in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field
  • GIS experience

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
