Job Summary

The Life Enrichment Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling activities for the residents and provide resources at the assigned property.

Reports To:

This role reports to the Property Manager.

Supervision:

This role has no supervisory duties.

Functions/Responsibilities:

· Assist the Property Manager with administrative functions, handling resident inquiries and conducting building and unit tours

· Plan, schedule, coordinate and facilitate all resident activities (large and small group) on a monthly basis

· Design, develop and distribute monthly activity calendars and newsletters

· Gather information, articles, and photos for newsletters

· Plan and coordinate special events including events for seasonal holidays

· Plan and coordinate activities program, entertainment for special events, group games and individual independent projects

· Incorporate recreational activities from the community and develop close working relationships with community organizations

· Serve as advocate and resource for residents

· Networking with local senior services agencies and organizations to better understand services potentially available or applicable to the residents

· Other duties as assigned

Competencies:

· 2 years’ experience in activities/life enrichment with seniors

· Knowledge of special needs of residents (physical, mental and social)

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with seniors

· Ability to read, write and speak English

· Well organized with excellent time management skills

· Competency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and relevant databases and software

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Certification or experience in recreational activities/life enrichment preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
