Pioneer Bank & Trust is Hiring an Operations Specialist Near Spearfish, SD

Summary:

The Pioneer Bank & Trust Central Operations Department is located at the Administration Center in Spearfish. This department is responsible for the back office operational functions for the entire bank. This position must have strong computer and customer service skills. The ability to provide customer support over the phone is crucial for this position. The Central Operations Clerk position is full-time and reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Department:

  • Print, sort and mail customer statements. Includes operating postage meter and following bulk-mail procedures.
  • Document imaging verification.
  • Online banking, mobile banking and text banking customer support.
  • Debit card customer support.
  • Accounts payable payment distribution.
  • Process returns.
  • Print and sort reports for the administration center staff.
  • File Maintenance verification for the administration center.
  • Reconciliation of correspondent accounts and/or GL asset accounts.
  • Loan payment reversal, file maintenance and escrow processing.
  • Key MICR corrections, balance transactions, maintain runs using check item processing software.
  • Other typical office duties such as answer the telephone, operate office machines (copier, postage machine and statement stuffer) and assist with projects using Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) software.
  • Inventory processing including ordering and distribution of supplies.
  • Cross-train with others in the Operations Department.
  • All other duties assigned as time and knowledge permit.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must have excellent computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Be willing to embrace new technology as the banking industry is constantly changing.
  • Need the ability to multi-task in a busy office environment.
  • Must have attention to detail as accurate data entry is essential for this position.
  • Great customer service skills with the ability to assist customers over the phone.
  • Ability to remain discreet about confidential customer information.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prior banking experience preferred, but not required
