Job Descriptions: Sales and Training Coordinator

Position Summary
The Sales & Training Coordinator (STC) assists and works closely with store managers and supervisors to ensure that associates provide exceptional customer service, while achieving sales goals. This includes ensuring customer satisfaction, driving sales, building sales skills and product knowledge. An STC maximizes productivity and profitability by balancing sales and expenses, identifying sales opportunities and setting customer service standards. They must demonstrate knowledge of the store’s purpose and goals and have the skills to help associates achieve those goals. The STC must also help new and existing associates develop new skills and knowledge needed to do a store job. The STC is responsible for recommending appropriate training courses, managing overall training plans for associates and maintaining store training records.

Starting Wage Range: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour

Major Responsibilities
• Train, coach and observe associates using the basic S.A.L.E.S. process.
• Provide input into merchandising decisions to the store manager
• Resolve customer and employee complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner
• Lead associate team to accomplish store goals
• Be proficient in all store technology (i.e., ACENET, POS system)
• Work with store management to identify appropriate training for store associates
• Work with store management to schedule training for store associates
• Coordinate New Hire Orientation training for new store hires
• Coordinate on-the-job training programs for store associates
• Follow up with associates regarding the progress of training and training activities
• Manage training data in Ace Learning Place
• Add, delete, and edit associate information when necessary
• Assign training courses
• Set and monitor deadlines for course completion and learning plans
• Register associates for courses that require management approval
• Train associates on how to use Ace Learning Place
• Run training reports and share with management to determine effectiveness of training programs
• Work with store management to incorporate vendor training (i.e., Weber, Toro) into overall training plans
• Coordinate with management to incorporate training into store meetings and huddles
