Position Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Backroom Coordinator position are to ensure the efficient flow, tracking, and accuracy of all inventory. This includes any/all deliveries and all related processes and paperwork.

Major Responsibilities
The major responsibilities for this position include:
• Unload and load trucks in safe manner
• 100% receive and sort Ace order using the Ace sort process
• Operate a forklift or pallet jack safely and efficiently
• Separate Special Orders and Ace.com orders from delivery and process according to store policy
• Establish and maintain strict organization standards in the backroom
• Ensure all inbound merchandise is 100% checked in per store procedures
• Maintain organized and accurate files for all paperwork related to the backroom
• Oversee the proper procedures for all inter-store transfers (If applicable)
• Maintain all backroom will call, tools and supplies as necessary
• Adhere to all schedules and deadlines
• Comply and with OSHA and company safety guidelines
• Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel
• Coordinate and manage efficient operation of the receiving area
• Receives all product for the store (including transfers), inspecting for shortages, overages, damage, and quality.
• Examines contents and compares with records, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Delivers or routes products to appropriate departments or storage areas.
• Keep special orders/rainchecks/.com/will call areas clean, organized and updated
Minimum Requirements
The minimum requirements for this position include the following
• Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferred.
• Possess a vast product knowledge of consumable products along with a willingness to learn.
• Experience in a retail environment, distribution and/or warehouse operations
• Skills/Knowledge: Strong organizational skills, ability to use computer proficiently
• Knowledgeable of store policies and procedures, OSHA safety regulations
• Ability to communicate, relate well, and direct the work of others; maintains a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and high regard for integrity
• Ability to solve problems, work independently, and maintain accuracy
• Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently
• Must wear a back belt at all times and proper lifting techniques used
• Must be able to operate heavy machinery
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
