Description:

Are you passionate about children and committed to preserving cultural heritage? The Pinoleville Native American Head Start Program has been in operation for more than 25 years. The program now consists of 7 classrooms serving children from 0-5 years old.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our teaching team as a Head Start teacher in our cherished school. This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners while fostering a deep appreciation for diverse cultural backgrounds. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of children in their crucial early years.

Starting Pay: $19/hr. Full-time

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

· Curriculum Development: Design and implement a culturally enriched curriculum that celebrates and preserves the local Pomo culture.

· Inclusive Teaching Practices: Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that accommodates the diverse needs of each child, fostering a love for learning.

· Family Engagement: Build strong partnerships with families to support children's development, including regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and involvement in classroom activities.

· Cultural Events and Celebrations: Organize and participate in cultural events and celebrations at the school, fostering a sense of unity among students, families, and staff.

· Assessment and Observation: Conduct ongoing assessments and observations to track children's progress and tailor teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

Qualifications:

· Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education/ Child Development or a related field.

· Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.

· FBI Fingerprint clearance.
