How You Contribute to Pinnacle Transplant’s Success

The Central Sterile Processing Technician I is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting cleanrooms, decontaminating instruments, performing autoclave functions, and preparing instrument carts required for the production human bone and tissue allografts in accordance with company SOPs, AATB standards, and federal and state government rules and regulations.

This position is located in North Phoenix (101 & 19th Ave) Hourly Pay is $20.19 with the potential to each a quarterly bonus.

What You Will Bring

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
  • 0-1 years of work experience in a medical environment using aseptic technique and sterilization equipment is required.
  • Current certification in Central Sterile Processing preferred.

What You Will Do

  • Complete assignments to meet work schedules and keep supervisor informed of progress.
  • Dissemble dirty instruments and supplies, sterilize according to SOP’s at the end of each work process, ensuring adequate flow of supplies.
  • Create instrument packs and wrap decontaminated instruments and supplies for sterilization.
  • Sterilize instruments and supplies using autoclaves.
  • Assist all applicable technicians with setting-up the sterile field and aseptic gowning and gloving in the cleanrooms.
  • Clean and disinfect cleanrooms in compliance with Universal Precautions and PTT SOPs.
  • Check cleanroom supply levels and notify Supervisor and other applicable departments to ensure proper levels of inventory are maintained as assigned.
  • Comply with FDA, AATB, OSHA, cGTP, AORN, and state rules and regulations, and PTT policies and procedures at all times.
  • Notify Supervisor and/or Quality Control Manager of any procedural deviations.
  • Complete required training and re-training in work and safety procedures no less than once each year.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or PTT Leadership that may include assisting in turning over cleanrooms, setting up sterile fields and stocking the Central Supply Room.

Where You Will Work

  • Full Time position (40 hours or more) based in Arizona. Hours may include evenings and weekends to perform tasks outlined in the job description.
  • Duties are such that there will be contact with human tissue and bone which may be considered infectious; use of PPE is required in all work areas.
  • Work requires standing for extended periods of time.
