Overview:

We are in search of an accomplished and results-driven Procurement Manager to spearhead our national procurement function. As a key player in our organization, the successful candidate will be instrumental in crafting and executing procurement strategies, processes, and capabilities on a national scale. The Procurement Manager will take charge of identifying, capturing, and sustaining savings opportunities, with a particular focus on indirect spend on goods and services for all our sites and offices, accounting for approximately $25M in annual spend. This role is pivotal to ensure that products ordered meet quality standards, are procured at fair prices, and are delivered in a timely manner to satisfy internal and external customers while optimizing productivity, reducing purchasing expenses, and increasing profit.

Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development of company-wide procurement strategies, aligning with business requirements and fostering collaboration with other functions.
  • Implement methodologies such as Category Management, Purchase to Pay, Supplier Relationship Management, and contract management to achieve organizational goals.

Organizational Capabilities:

  • Build and sustain a highly capable procurement organization, integrating business intelligence to enhance decision-making.
  • Foster a cooperative culture within the global Procurement community, promoting knowledge-sharing.

Performance and Savings:

  • Drive procurement performance through effective spend and skill leverage.
  • Identify, capture, and sustain savings opportunities from the supply base, contributing to organizational success.
  • Ensure compliance with processes, tools, techniques, reporting, KPIs, and methodologies.

Automation and System Implementation:

  • Contribute to the automation of the Procurement function by actively utilizing the Source to Contract and the Contract to Pay System.
  • Play a critical role in the implementation of Concur Invoice and PO in 2024.

BU Procurement Strategy and Plan:

  • Develop and review the Procurement strategy and plan aligned with global and category strategies.
  • Ensure medium-term roadmaps and annual procurement plans for the BU are established.
  • Track and analyze value, validate procurement performance results, and execute performance management.

Category Management and Strategic Sourcing:

  • Implement SHV Energy category strategies and strategic sourcing methodology using the Source to Contract system.
  • Conduct an annual portfolio analysis of Operational and Capex spend and suppliers, managing key elements of spend in line with global category strategies.

Contract Management:

  • Establish a global contract repository supporting active implementation in relevant BUs.
  • Harmonize contract management practices globally and ensure contract compliance.
  • Drive compliance and adherence to Procurement policies, processes, and systems.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Provide leadership, manage the team, budget, and motivate continuous development.
  • Align human resources with the spend base and business needs, focusing on organizational development and professionalism.
  • Implement succession planning, talent management, and training initiatives.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a management role within a global procurement function.
  • Strong understanding of Category Management, Purchase to Pay, Supplier Relationship Management, and contract management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing procurement teams.
  • Business intelligence expertise for informed decision-making.
  • Track record of achieving procurement savings and optimizing total cost of ownership.
