- Contacts insurance company to obtain insurance verification and pre-certification for physical/occupational therapy patients
- Enters benefit information and pre-certification authorization into guarantor notes in eCW
- Faxes orders, patient demographics, and insurance information to hospital or facility.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, Workers’ Compensation, etc.
- Answers phones and provides routing information to callers.
Demonstrate the ability to make decisions as necessary using all available information
Communication, Teamwork, and Patient/Employee Relations
Communicate with colleagues and supervisor effectively and time
Leadership, Initiative and Resourcefulness Responsible for all other duties as assigned by Physicians and Administrator.
