Pinnacle Fertility is Hiring a Lead Accounts Receivable Specialist Near Paradise, AZ

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and organized Lead Accounts Receivable/Coding Specialist to join our corporate Central Billing office. The Lead AR/Coding Specialist will be responsible for managing patient and insurance accounts receivable, while ensuring that all billing and collections are conducted in an accurate and timely manner. This position requires experience in medical coding, in addition to reporting and quality assurance (QA) to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the A/R team members, including billing, collections, and reconciliation of patient and insurance accounts receivable.
  • Ensure that all billing and collections are conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the A/R department, including the use of technology and automation where appropriate.
  • Provide guidance and training to A/R staff on proper billing, collections, and medical coding procedures, as well as customer service best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of A/R records, medical coding, and reporting.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on A/R performance and key metrics, including days in A/R, aging reports, and cash flow projections.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, customer service, and medical coding, to resolve A/R-related issues and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, medical coding, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior-level accounts receivable roles in a healthcare setting with medical coding experience.
  • Experience with medical coding, reporting, and quality assurance (QA) processes.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, patients, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of medical coding, billing, and collections best practices, as well as state and federal regulations related to healthcare billing.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, EMR systems, and accounting software.
  • Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed decisions and recommendations.
