Located in San Antonio, The Pineapple School is a child development center and preschool that provides Spanish language and cultural immersion for children six weeks to five years of age.
We are looking for candidates who truly enjoy and appreciate young children and have good verbal and written communication skills in Spanish. There are great opportunities for growth within the school for professional candidates who are looking for a life-time career in teaching.
Duties will consist of:

• Conducting supervision of children's activities both indoors and outdoors
• Assisting with small group activities under the direction of the teacher
• Participating in family style dining with the children
• Assisting in classrooms with helping children fall asleep during naptime
• Assisting with diaper-changing, potty-training and personal hygiene
• Assisting the teacher in maintaining an orderly learning environment
• Helping out in other areas of the center
• Caring for children that are not feeling well or that are excluded from classroom activity
• Helping to ensure the center is clean and orderly
• Ad hoc cleaning, i.e. mopping up a spill or organizing a closet
• Following Minimum Standards for Child Care Licensing at all times
• Attending staff meetings, training events and workshops during non-business hours and maintaining required level of training hours with required documentation.

• 100% fluent in Spanish, verbally and written; Proficient in English
• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree (preferred)
• Possesses a love for young children and a desire to learn and grow in field of Education
• Stability, intelligence and professionalism
• Raised in or otherwise have extensive experience living in a Spanish speaking culture outside of the United States, typically either in Mexico and/or Central and South America (preferred)

Pay: $13.65 per hour
