Full Time Day 7am-3pm; rotating weekends and holidays Part Time Day 6:30am - 3pm; 2:30 - 10:30pm; PRN; rotating weekends and holidays The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for meeting the basic care needs of our residents. Qualifications: Pennsylvania (PA):
Must be 18 years of age or older, unless Active on PA Nurse Aide Registry
High school diploma or equivalent required, unless Active on PA Nurse Aide Registry
Delaware (DE):
Must be 18 years of age or older
Maryland (MD):
Must be 21 years of age or older unless active on the DE Nurse Aide Registry
Skills/Experience:
Previous experience working with older adults preferred
Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong communication skills
Excellent customer service
Positive attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Capable of working independently and as a team
Expectations:
Assists residents in all activities of daily living and independent activities of daily living according to the Support/Service Plan
Responds to all resident requests for assistance and/or call bells regardless of assignment
Observes residents and reports changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor or team members
Communicates and documents services provided to the resident
Recommends changes in the appropriate sections of the resident's support/service plan
Performs basic care procedures
Assists with transportation of residents to outside appointments and shopping and accompanies resident as assigned
Initiates and completes appropriate resident activities
Informs residents of activities, encourages participation and provides transportation for such activities
May assist with mealtimes
Performs basic emergency care procedures, first aid, CPR and Heimlich maneuver
Actively participates in all required in-service programs and tam meetings, including program presentations
