Pine Hill Trailers is Hiring a Purchasing Specialist Near Gap, PA

Purchasing Specialist

Our company is currently seeking an individual who is able to take responsibility for the procurement of parts and raw materials and ensure optimal levels of inventory stock using the MRP tools available. This is a full-time, hourly position (approximately 40-45 hours per week). Benefits include paid holidays, paid time off, and participation in company sponsored health insurance plan and also retirement plan.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Coordinate with the delivery team and follow up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
  • Establish professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
  • Negotiate appropriate contracts for pricing and supply
  • Work with team members, supervisors, and purchasing manager to develop future purchasing plans
  • Track incoming inventory, delivery arrival time, and note actual arrival time
  • Work with and make suggestions to the management team to develop policy and procedures that bring efficiencies and excellence to our processes.
  • Collaborate with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters

Skills/Experience:

  • Should have prior experience in material and product procurement.
  • The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
  • Have prior experience using a computer based MRP (Material Resource Planning) system.
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to negotiate, establish, and process contracts
  • Able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
