Individuals hired will provide short-term training/expertise to meet specific needs within Workforce & Continuing Education. These needs may fall into one or more areas including community education, technology, software, legal, culinary, customer service, health and safety practices, leadership, culture, psychology, teamwork, regional topics of interest, languages, relationship development, music, or arts. We also seek certified Trades instructors in fields of HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, automotive and electric. Successful applicants will have reliable transportation, be able to work in a variety of locations throughout Pima County, and may assist in the promotion of events. General Course Guidelines and Policies: All course offerings are programmed to be self-sustaining. Price is set after supplies, space, and other costs are evaluated Courses vary in length depending on course objective(s). Scheduling will be based upon student availability, instructor availability, location availability, and historical factors for time of year, day of week, time of day Career content requires assessment and may be taught online as well as in person. The offering of any course is at the discretion of PCC Workforce & Continuing Education. Compensation may include materials and prep time when appropriate. If a course is scheduled as part of a grant or workforce contract the instructor pay and responsibilities may increase the compensation Instructors teaching a course online will use the College learning management platform, D2L and sometimes access approved third party content The role includes being coach, referee, mentor, facilitator, co-learner, and colleague.
