Pima Pain Center is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner Near Tucson, AZ
- Provide pain care (acute and chronic pain care) for adult patients in an inpatient clinical setting. The Nurse Practitioner will demonstrate a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with pain, including acute postoperative/traumatic pain, chronic non-cancer and cancer related plan conditions.
- Evaluate and manage patients referred to the Acute and Chronic Pain and Inpatient Pain Services. The Anesthesiology Pain Service provides consultations and the development of a comprehensive pain management plans for patients with complex pain and is actively involved in perioperative analgesia for both adult and pediatric patients.
- Shows compassion and respect for Patient Care
- Work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary health team and function with a high degree of autonomy.
- Can assist in Procedures such as Trigger point injections, joint and knee injections etc..
- Work with a team consisting of a group of Physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and assessments.
- Records findings of examinations, assessments and develops plan of care.
- Time management skills
- Performs a wide range of minor pain and/or medical procedures.
- Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
- Orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations.
- Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner
- Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
- Attends, participates and contributes in group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures as necessary.
