The Pima Community College Upward Bound Program is currently accepting applications for temporary instructors for our 6-week summer program starting on June 3rd – July 10th. The Upward Bound Program aids in the areas of academic support and enrichment, ACT/SAT preparatory, career/college exploration, and post-secondary information to low-income first-generation students. The primary purpose of the federally funded program is to prepare students in grades 9-12 to attend and graduate from college.
The students attend academic classes specifically designed for them during the academic year, and during our summer component as well. We are seeking to staff the following classes:

The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, repetitive motions, and fine finger movements – using the fingers to manipulate/handle objects such as typing, sorting papers, activating buttons, or sorting/separating small parts.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long periods or moving from one work site to another.
