Upholstery and Trim Technician
Performs incoming inspections of materials including fabric, foam, leather, ultra-leather, and vinyl
Measures, marks, and cuts materials to drawings and work instructions
Bonds materials using various processes and adhesives
Applies and finish wraps materials to composite and kydex interior panels
Sews leather and other finish materials prior to application
Maintains labor tracking and job card/task sign-offs within ERP/MRP system
Follows safety policies and uses required personal protective equipment in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
Works with Leads and higher skilled technicians to develop and refine skills and techniques
Performs all assigned tasks in accordance with Pilatus quality standards
Fabricates aircraft carpet using cutting, binding, and serging machines
Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy work area
Assists coworkers and other departments to successfully perform job tasks when needed
Performs other related duties as assigned by Lead or Manager
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Two (2) years related trade school or vocational degree preferred
Demonstrated craftsman-level abilities and quality, and a minimum of two (2) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to use hand tools, adhesive spray gun, industrial sewing machine, and/or other specialized equipment
Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations
Ability to read, understand, and adhere to engineering drawings, tech specs, and other relevant documents
Eye for precision and attention to details
Able work in restricted spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds
Regular, reliable attendance required, and willingness to work overtime and other shifts as needed
Proficiency in general computer use and MS Office software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must qualify as a U.S. person in compliance with ITAR 22 CFR 120.15
