Requirements
Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse required. High School Diploma or equivalency required. Associate degree at minimal is preferred.
Minimum of one year of experience in customer service. Experience with medical terminology. Practical knowledge of computers and computer systems, experience with Excel preferred.
Experience working in a medical clinic setting preferred. Experience working in the Bariatric field preferred.
Summary
The Bariatric Patient Advocate is responsible for working directly with bariatric patients in person and via telephone communication throughout the intensive pre and post-op period.
Customer service and patient satisfaction are of the utmost importance in this position. In addition to a high service level provided to patients, this role is responsible for maximizing the ability for patients to select services with Pikeville Medical Center facilities and specialists.
