Provides direct patient care in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Monitors patients during exercise sessions. Nursing responsibilities focus on the preventive and restorative healthcare needs of the cardiovascular patient. Provides patient education on disease entities, cardiac risk factors, behavior modification. Communicates with the Cardiopulmonary Director and the patient's physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including laboratory tests and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition and response to treatment. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with an ADN, diploma, BSN, or higher education degree.
Current licensing to practice professional nursing in the state of Missouri.
