Provides cardiac monitoring and clerking duties under the direction / supervision of the licensed nurse. Performs all tasks related to computer order entry within their given scope of practice, telephone communication, and keeps the eMD updated and current.

Required Experience

• High School graduate, preferred
• Successful completion of Basic EKG Interpretation.
• Formal Unit Clerk Course and / or comparable six months hospital experience or Medical Assistant certification
• Medical Terminology or demonstrated proficiency and / or ability to learn
• Typing 35 wpm minimum desirable
• Current BLS certification
• Basic windows and mouse skills preferred
• Non-violent crisis intervention training annually
