New Grad-Nursing Administration, Maternal Childcare, NICU, Nursing Administration, Critical Care, G.I. Services, Surgery:

Provides direct nursing care including assessment, plan of care, education, and evaluation for assigned patients. Performs patient duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care as well as coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines.

Emergency:

Provide a full range of nursing practice guided by the American Nursing Association’s (ANA) Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice (2004) and dependent upon experience, role, and population served. Primary nursing responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. Standards of professional performance required include quality practice, education/competency, professional practice evaluation, collegiality, collaboration, and ethics, research/best practice integration, resource utilization and leadership (ANA, 2004). Assists patients to attain or maintain optimal health, implementing a strategy of care to accomplish defined goals within the context of a patient-centered health care plan, and evaluating responses to nursing care and treatment (National Council of State Board of Nursing, 2004).

RN Clinical Resource Coordinator/NICU:

To provide the Clinical Directors with review of performance improvement findings and analysis of data in collaboration with the appropriate staff. To assist center management with processing of unit specific duties including but not limited to orientation, education, performance improvement, timecards, policies and procedures, hearing screening, and patient follow-up.

PACU:

Provides pre/post-operative nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. Performs within the standards of professional practice and hospital policies and procedures, is a resource person for the post anesthesia care unit. Available to take call on a rotational basis as assigned and flexes with schedule as unit census requires.

Same Day Surgery:

Provides peri-operative nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process. Performs within the standards of professional practice and hospital policies and procedures.

RN MDS/DSD Coordinator-Transitional Care Unit/Acute Rehabilitation Center:

Responsible for the coordination of data collection for the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) which includes Minimum Data Set (MDS) and the Resident Assessment Protocol Summary (RAPS) by all appropriate health care disciplines and the timely transmission of the MDS to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHS). Responsible for the coordination of required training as set forth in various regulations.

RN PPS Coordinator-Transitional Care Unit/Acute Rehabilitation Center:

The PPS (Prospective Payment System) Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely completion and transmission of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI). Meets the regulatory requirements related to the collection and transmission of the IRF-PAI as outlined by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Serves as a role model and provides clinical and regulatory expertise to the department.

RN (19N) MICN-Emergency:

Provides emergency nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Performs within the standards of professional practice and hospital policies.

RN Nurse Navigator-OP Care Center Management:

Provides the coordination of pulmonary screening for at-risk populations and coordinates oncology services for lung cancer patients to address the physical, spiritual and psycho-social needs of the patient as indicated. Provides patient education, follow-up and referral to appropriate resources. Acts as a patient advocate and liaison in the coordination of timely diagnostic recall and/or follow-up services. Serves as a resource to patients, their families and staff regarding cancer disease related issues. Collaborates with other members of the oncology team to present pre-treatment and other educational conferences. Assists with data collection, tracking and reporting of clinical outcomes.
