Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and excellent customer service skills. As a Deli Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve deli products including sandwiches, salads, and other items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area
- Assist customers with product selection and provide recommendations
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of all products
- Upsell additional items to increase sales
- Assist with cleaning duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a deli or food service environment is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to sanitate work areas and equipment regularly
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management
- Passion for the culinary arts and interest in working in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude
