Piggly Wiggly - Lowcountry Grocers is Hiring a Floral Manager Near Florence, SC

The Floral Department Manager provides excellent guest satisfaction through the management of the floral department and the leadership of the floral employees. This will be done by maintaining high standards of quality, variety, selection, and fresh and appealing displays for all products produced and sold in the floral department.
This position includes a great work environment, competitive pay, and full-time status with full benefits and a 401k package.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Take and fill orders daily making deliveries when necessary.
  • Responsible for Profit and Loss of floral department, wages, inventory, and sales.
  • Maintain awareness of and promote advertisements, promotions, and Company programs while also making sure other employees are aware of and promoting the same.
  • Maintain full and fresh displays and perform daily care through trimming, manicuring, watering, and caring for products.
  • Achieve and maintain a safe and clean working environment through safety awareness, a well maintained, organized department, and sanitary conditions in compliance with Company standards, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and have ready fresh product spares for back-ups and displays daily.
  • Maintain balloon supplies and keep appropriate level of balloon inventory being ready to fill balloons as needed.
  • Assist with store functions, events, and in various departments as needed, including decorating the store for holidays.
  • Ordering, unloading, transporting, and stocking inventories to maintain appropriate product levels and minimize shrink.
  • Conduct orientation, train, coach, and manage any floral employees in execution of daily or seasonal tasks with emphasis on guest service, departmental appearance, and merchandising.
  • Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by Store Operator.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Ability to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends and holidays, including opening and closing department as needed
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability on or comfort with using computers and/or a willingness to learn
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance in the appropriate Pig attire
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes of merchandise, which entails lifting (up to 65 lbs), bending, pushing, pulling, stooping, and performing all functions as set forth above
  • Exposure to cold/hot, cleaning chemicals, solvents, machinery, cutting tools, sharp objects, and moderate noise levels.
