Salary/Wages/Hours

$17.50/hour $40 per day per diem for overnight travel.

Stay incentive. Receive:

  • $50 if you work through August 16, 2024
  • $100 if you work through August 23, 2024
  • $200 if you work through August 30, 2024

The stay incentives are not cumulative.

This is an hourly overtime-eligible position. Overtime is possible with management approval.

This position works 40 hours a week within the configuration center work schedule of Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday 7 to 11 a.m. Must be able to work 3:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. with advance notice. Some shifts may occasionally start work at 5 a.m. Saturday hours from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. may be available on a voluntary basis in July and August. Shifts will be no longer than 10 hours. Work hours will be communicated in advance.

This position includes an unpaid 30-minute break when working five hours or more.

Work will begin the week of June 17, 2024, and last through the beginning of August 30, 2024.

What Configuration Associates Do

The Configuration Associate configures and images laptops, tablets, and other technology to customer specifications by uploading operating systems, applications, security, software and hardware, permissions, and other settings, among other configuration services. This position also makes or assists with deliveries to Pierson customers and helps as needed in the warehouse.

  • Configure and image laptops, tables, and other technology to customer specifications
  • Complete asset tagging, wiring, and cart building
  • Unbox and repack hardware and accessories
  • Utilize Pierson’s inventory control software to execute data capture within the configuration process
  • Pack, palletize, and label pallets of product after production
  • Make, as a driver, or assist another driver with, deliveries to Pierson customers. This will require one overnight per month. Most travel will be day trips. Vehicles to be driven range from minivans to panel vans (example: Mercedes Sprinter Panel Van)
  • Occasionally assist in receiving and shipping of product from ground and less-than-truckload (LTL) small freight carriers
  • Meet team goals
  • Maintain a clear, safe working environment
  • Help warehouse staff with loading and unloading trucks, moving heavy boxes, inventory counts, trash collection, sorting, and disposal, order picking, and parts assembly
  • Other duties as assigned

What Competencies You Need

  • Possess basic math skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer, tablet, and accessory operations, including web-based application, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Google Workspace, and QR and barcode scanners
  • Able to read proficiently, speak clearly and concisely, engage in active listening, and exercise near-vision acuity
  • Able to executive repeat fine manipulations of fingers
  • Able to use a cell phone or web-based application (HCMtoGo) to track hours worked by project
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Able to operate a manual pallet jack

Required Education and Experience

The following requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Class C (passenger vehicle) driver’s license with a clean driving record and one year of driving experience
  • Able to pass a basic math skills test encompassing addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculating percentages
  • Any prior experience with delivering products to customers

Preferred Education and Experience

The following requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

  • Current enrollment or associate degree in a computer science or related field
  • Two-year’s experience in a comparable position

Additional Eligibility Requirements

Upon offer of employment, selected candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and Federal Criminal History, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record, Motor Vehicle Record, and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History background check at Pierson’s expense.
