Pierre's Dog House is Hiring a Lead Pet Care Technician (Daycare, Boarding, Basic Grooming) Near Dallas, TX

Pierre’s is a private dog club, which means we work with the same dogs on a regular basis. We have 3 dog groups (large, medium and small). Each group has an indoor playroom and a yard they have access to at all times with via doggy door.

Pet Care Technicians are responsible for overseeing the group they’re assigned to and ensuring all dogs are safe and comfortable at all times. This requires them to be on their feet and walking around constantly. An effective Pet Tech will be aware of their environment at all times and have the ability to act quickly at the first signs of behavioral issues. In addition to great dog handling skills, Pet Techs also need to possess exceptional customer relation skills to communicate with Pet Parents.

Lead Pet Tech Care Technicians are responsible for all Pet Tech duties, as well identifying training opportunities and leading a team while managing client interactions. In addition, Lead Pet Techs, will also be required to drive a company vehicle (Pet Taxi), on an as-needed basis.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time 40 Hours per week.
  • Must have open availability starting at 6am and until as late as 11pm, Monday-Sunday.
  • Shifts will vary depending on business needs.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • 80% ensuring dogs are safe and getting along.
  • 10% housekeeping work (floors, windows, poop scooping, disinfecting water bowls, etc.).
  • 10% client interaction (providing feedback, charging for services, answering phone calls).

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a group play setting
  • 1 year experience handling administrative duties, including scheduling and client relations
  • Basic dog grooming knowledge: Bathing, Nails, Teeth, etc.
  • Must be comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds
  • Basic knowledge of dog behavior and the ability to identify unsafe play-styles and redirecting in real time as needed
  • Extreme attention to detail, observant and alert
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Driver License. Clean driving record
  • Exceptional Punctuality. Low tolerance for attendance issues.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Starting pay is $40,000 per year ($770 per week)
  • Paid overtime
  • United Healthcare Premium Plan/Dental/Vision available after 60 days of employment. (50% paid by employer)
  • 40 Hours PTO per year after 1 year of employment, 80 Hours PTO after 3 years of employment
  • Yearly Performance Reviews.
