Pierce County Security/Pacific Coast Security is Hiring a Dispatcher Near Tacoma, WA

The Dispatcher schedules security officers insuring that all shifts are covered and dispatchers security officers to urgent client needs and alarm calls.

Dispatchers are non-exempt (hourly paid). Dispatchers are on duty swing & grave (1700-900). Dispatchers report to PCS management and to the client contacts.

Some basic responsibilities are:

  • Oversee and take care of the after office hour scheduling matters
  • Schedule PCS Employees for called off shifts
  • Assist PCS Employees with their duties with verbal instruction
  • Report all employee violations to a PCS supervisor or management
  • Update site instructions when necessary and notify PCS management of changes
  • Answer and respond to incoming radio and phone calls
  • Dispatching of on-duty PCS Officers to incidents, emergencies and alarms
  • Alerts PCS and/or client management of incidents and emergencies
  • Filling out, handling and filling of reports, logs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Washington State Security Guard License, training provided
  • Assertive, good communication skills
  • Security experience preferred (security, law enforcement, military, etc.)
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Good public relations skill
  • Availability to work shifts which include nights, holidays and weekends
  • Applicants must pass Pre-Employment drug screen=
  • Pay and Benefits:

$19 per hour, overtime after 40 hours per week
Overtime pay when working designated holidays
PCS will pay the $101.00 security license fee for employees who's employment last 90 days or longer
Paid training
Uniforms provided
Full medical Insurance is available for full-time employees after 90 days
Paid time off for vacation, illness, family emergencies, etc.
Full and part-time available
