Job Summary: The concierge provides the first impression of service to the Piers and must wow in service and behavior. Responsible for meeting, greeting and welcoming guests, prospective guests, applicants, team members, vendors and members of the public e to Pier Sixty and the Lighthouse. The concierge acts as a liaison between the clients and guests, and, the sales and banquet departments. The Concierge is responsible assisting clients and guests with black cars, limos and buses during events as well as coordinating valet parking during events and assisting in the role and responsibilities of the Transportation Coordinator as needed and directed.

Compensation: Hourly $19.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• · Welcome all guests with a smile and enthusiasm
• · Answer all phone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate extensions
• · Assist guests with valet parking, shuttle bus service and car service needs during events
• · Coordinate guest parking including supervision of valet staff, bus and black car drivers.
• · Set up signage for transportation area during events. Create, print and laminate signs for event banquet managers as needed and directed
• · Dispatch buses from various locations within the tri state area and coordinate bus service requirements for events.
• · Meet with clients regarding transportation needs.
• · Review and approve invoices from Vendors.
• · Collect valet parking monies and vouchers and turn in at the end of events.
• · Work closely with Chelsea Piers Guest Services Staff with regards to parking and transportation needs to include safety measures are met for all.
• · Distribute paychecks to staff from Gest Services, and Banquet teams
• · Log and store Lost and Found items after events
• · Messenger envelopes and packages to clients and maintain an organized log
• · Receive and distribute all Fedex, UPS, messengered envelopes to each department or staff member
• · Log Banquet Tuxedo jackets to and from dry cleaners
• · Travel, as necessary, to different properties/venues
• Utilizing and driving golf cart or loading cart to move supplies form one pier to the other would require a valid driver license
• · Assist coworkers with completion of assignments when needed
• · Perform any general cleaning tasks
• · Keep work area clean and well organized
• · Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
• Perform all reasonable requests by the management team
