Our food trucks are mobile which means we get to serve in a different place everyday!

Mobile Events NW has been a leader in Portland's mobile food scene since 2017. We launched our first truck, Pidgin Hole, in 2017 and followed with our sister truck Alchemy Sandwich Co in 2022. Our Team Members learn the ins and outs of both trucks and get to be behind-the-scenes for some of Portland's hottest events!

We are looking for a reliable and customer-oriented Food Truck Driver to join our team. In addition to being responsible for the truck, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our food service areas. If you have a passion for culinary arts, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

To be considered for the position you:

• Have an impeccable driving record
• Are comfortable driving box-style trucks (think delivery/moving trucks)
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to food safety guidelines

Additional duties:

• Act as the face of the company at local events
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
• Take orders and process payments using Square POS
• Prepare and serve food orders
• Pack to-go orders
• Clean and stock truck, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies
• Share dishwashing duties and other prep- and side-work
• Assist with kitchen duties such as food preparation and dishwashing

Please have:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
• Experience driving other box-style trucks, RVs, or other long/commercial vehicles
• Flexible schedule (willing to work a variety of weekdays and weekends, daytime and evening shifts)
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
• Willingness to get dirty
• Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
• Basic understanding of retail math for cash handling

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
