About The Role:

As a Senior Engineer, you will provide leadership and technical expertise on structural engineering for electrical substation and/or transmission and distribution projects.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead the design and approval criteria for projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and client specifications
• Oversee the completion of technical design models, demonstrating a meticulous approach to structural engineering
• Efficiently organize and schedule tasks for the project support team, ensuring timely and quality project delivery
• Actively participate in client meetings, fostering effective communication and understanding of project requirements
• Conduct comprehensive design review meetings with clients to ensure alignment with project objectives and client expectations
• Provide mentorship and training to fellow engineering team members, contributing to their professional development
• Offer valuable input on special design queries, leveraging your expertise to address unique challenges
• Participate in internal design review meetings, collaborating with colleagues and other departments to enhance project outcomes

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (required)
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification (required)
• 8 years of related Structural engineering experience in the electric utility or consulting industry (required)
• Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS) (required)
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, IBC).
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with construction administration and site supervision is a plus
• Understanding of basic practices for evaluating engineering and design issues
• Ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations
• Ability to think creatively as it relates to engineering innovation and solutions
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly agile environment
