Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This is a key leadership role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to shareholders.
Responsibilities:
Prepare projections and analysis of accounting information.
Prepare internal financial statements monthly, quarterly and annually.
Evaluate and analyze internal controls.
Oversee and reconcile all accounting activities in AP, AR, Payroll, and the General Ledger.
Assist CPA with year-end activities for annual reviewed financials and tax returns.
Monthly Union Benefit Reporting
Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Payroll Reports (Federal and Multi-State)
Review Weekly Certified Payroll
Monthly Sales/Use/Gross Receipts Tax Reports
Monthly Progress Billings and Lien Waivers
Review and Reconcile Bank Statements
Track and Renew all Business Licenses (Federal and Multi-State)
Prepare Audit Data for GL Insurance, Union Benefits, State Payroll Taxes, State Sales Taxes
Qualifications:
Accounting degree with 5 years Accounting Experience with a full understanding of the General Ledger
Experience with accounting software, Word, Excel, Outlook
Experience with Cost Accounting & Percentage of Completion Method
