Job SummaryPIC Group has an exciting opportunity for a Turnover Coordinator (TOC) / Mechanical Commissioning Technician (MCT) supporting a reciprocating engine project in Cody, WY. The Turnover Coordinator (TOC) / Mechanical Commissioning Technician (MCT) is responsible for delivery of all turnover related activities, and to assist when required, with coordinating, directing, and performing initial mechanical checkout and operations of equipment, systems, and facility. The TOC/MCT oversees the project turnover process between construction to commissioning and commissioning to client, operations maintenance, or owner. The TOC/MCT will be located on-site supporting the Commissioning Manager.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • The TOC/MCT is responsible for direct interface with commissioning professionals coordinating commissioning completion documentation required for turnover packages.
  • Responsible for direct interface with construction for completions documentation required for turnover packages.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the project punch list.
  • The TOC/MCT will assist in the walkdown of the systems with construction during construction turnover.
  • The TOC/MCT will lead system walkdowns with relevant parties.
  • Attend meetings to discuss turnover packages (TOPS) and punch list completion status.
  • Participate in lessons learned review and prepare close-out report sections as required.
  • Assist in reviewing all equipment, purchase, and contracts for turnover requirements.
  • Assist in the initial equipment, system, and facility run-ins, checkout, and testing.
  • Follows commissioning schedule, approves mechanical system turnover via facility walkdown and punch list activities.
  • Duties may consist of equipment, system, and facility construction completion, turnover verification and approval, and final client turnover documentation activities.
  • Assist in the pump/motor/fan, set and alignment approval and verification process.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of the initial system clean-up pertaining to flushes, chemical cleaning, air blows, etc.
Job RequirementsThe successful candidate should be able to read and understand corporate programs, policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, field experience, and the ability to adapt and be flexible to changes.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated successful performance as Turnover Coordinator of multiple projects.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with limited supervision.
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Products (Access, Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
Physical Requirements
  • Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, climbing, sitting, lifting (up to 75 pounds), and driving.
  • Work environment: electric power construction site in Wyoming with varied temperature, high noise level, inside and outside.
Education / Experience
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Engineering Degree preferred
  • OSHA-10 required; OSHA-30 preferred.
  • 3 years Turnover Coordinator experience required
  • 1 years Mechanical Commissioning experience required
