Title: Owners Representative Site Safety Superintendent

Job Summary:
PIC Group has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Owners Representative Site Safety Superintendent to support an active construction project building a state-of-the-art manufacturing, assembly and battery storage facility. The Owners Rep Site Safety Supt will report to the Sr. Project Manager and will work on behalf of the owner to ensure all personnel adhere to published safety policies for the project. The Owner’s Representative Site Safety Superintendent will provide overall assistance to project supervision to improve the safety performance of the construction site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the site safety oversight and coordination with the owner for all contractor activities.
• Ability to record and write needed job safety analysis (JSA) reports as needed for the owner.

Job Requirements:

• Works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure implementation of site safety policies.
• Monitors, educates, and trains employees on health and safety related issues.
• Controls hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities through safety management and collaboration with other operations supervisory personnel.
• Ensures subcontractor documentation is complete and accurate.
• Ensure required equipment training is conducted and documented.
• Clarifies safety rules and provides technical expertise and provides solutions to safety challenges onsite.
• Communicates and documents safety expectations to safely produce quality work during safety orientations for the scope of work.
• Attends and actively engages in all site and corporate meetings to promote safety.
• Leads and collaborates with team in investigating all safety incidents to determine cause, implements corrective actions, and reports incidents, as required.
• May perform other duties as required or assigned for the success of the project.

Physical Requirements:

• Typical construction site activities such as walking, climbing, bending, sitting, lifting, and driving.
• Varied low or high temperatures and high noise levels, inside and outside, as defined from a typical construction site.

Education / Experience:

• High School diploma required.
• College degree with emphasis on construction safety preferred, not required.
• 15 years’ experience as a Safety Manager in a construction environment.
• Minimum OSHA 30 required, OSHA 510 preferred.
• Candidate must have at least one current safety certification such as STSC, CHST, ASP, or CSP
