PHYTEC America is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of embedded System on Modules (SOMs), miniature industrial computers. We seek a Test Engineer to join our team on Bainbridge Island offering flexible Work from Home (WFH) policies.

Your Responsibilities 

• Create test specifications for new standard products and customer projects
• Design hardware to meet test specification parameters
• Design mechanical fixtures to meet test specification parameters
• Design software to execute test steps and log test results
• Software, hardware, and mechanical verification of test systems
• Integrate complete test solutions into a production test environment
• Debug production test issues with our in-house manufacturing
• Work with remote contract manufacturers to integrate testing solutions and debug test issues
• Mechanical and electrical rework of test boards and fixtures

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with schematic capture and circuit design
• Proficient with programming in C and Python languages
• Familiarity with PHP and VBA is desired, but not required
• Experience using a UNIX command-line interface (CLI), bash scripting, networking, filesystems and partitioning
• Experience with collaboration tools (i.e. GIT, JIRA, and Confluence) and software configuration tools
• Familiarity with microprocessors and other system architecture components
• Experience reading and understanding datasheets
• Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks or other applicable CAD software
• Experience with soldering and solder rework
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other hardware debugging equipment
• Technical work or internship experience is desired, including: embedded hardware design, embedded software design, mechanical design, and test engineering

Salary Range

PHYTEC cares deeply about equitable and fair pay. The base salary pay range for this position is $71,400 to $109,200.

Please keep in mind this range represents the pay range for positions in the job category within which this position falls. The actual offer will take into account a wide range of factors including: location, education, and prior experience.
