Job description
Representative is responsible for managing all tasks related to the front desk area of the physical therapy practice, including scheduling, patient registration, patient check-out, co-pay processing, and handling/prioritizing telephone communication.
Prepare exam rooms for patient encounters. Notify provider of patient's arrival and readiness for their examination.
Review charts prior to patients' scheduled appointment to assure that all the insurance, eligibility/verification and authorizations are up to date.
Accurately and efficiently performs all clerical duties as needed, including but not limited to patient registration, billing(assist only), answering phones, scheduling appointments, and initiating, maintaining and filing medical records.
Practice proper infection control techniques.
Knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer and data entry skills; and medical record management.
Perform clerical duties that assist in the delivery of healthcare professional and patient care management within any office location under the direction of a provider and manager in accordance with the objectives and policies of Practice and respective state laws governing such action and activities.
Greet and check in patients in a friendly manner, while ensuring an efficient check in process.
Completing daily reports including referrals and authorizations.
Responding to patient billing or financial inquiries, directing to appropriate departments, as necessary.
Build and strengthen relationships with direct referral sources; physicians, office managers, referral coordinators and other office staff.
Act as a liaison between direct referral sources and the organization’s internal staff; Physical Therapists, Technicians, Front Desk staff and Billing Office staff.
Support the goals of referral growth through direct referral source satisfaction, education and communication.
Travel between the offices and 5 mile radius of the office to call on regular and prospective customers including physicians and healthcare centers to solicit orders, or talk with customers on sales floor or by phone.

Ability to work independently as well as build/inspire teams for successful goal achievement.
Position requires Occasional travel between referral source and clinic location (Levittown/Bensalem, PA).
Requirements:
Education Requirement: High School Diploma.
Occasional physical demands include: Sitting, Push/Pull, Twisting, Bending, Reaching overhead, Squat/kneel.
Continuous physical demands include: Keyboard use/repetitive motion.
Candidates must possess the following:
Attention to detail.
Excellent patient and customer skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Knowledge of computers including Microsoft office, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
