Job DescriptionDo you want to be a valued member of a team who plays a critical role in providing excellent care to patients in a lab setting? Do you possess excellent patient-relations skills? If so, consider joining our team as a Lab Assistant PRN in our laboratory at Northwest Medical Center Springdale.Key responsibilities of this role include:

- Matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tools
- Disposing of contaminated sharps, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, and policies
- Drawing blood from veins by vacuum tube, syringe, or butterfly venipuncture methods
- Disposing of blood and other biohazard fluids or tissue, in accordance with applicable laws, standards, or policies
- Drawing blood from capillaries by dermal puncture, such as heel or finger stick methods
- Performs activities and other tasks as necessary in a laboratory environment.
- Records observations and measurements and reports results.
- Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining cleanrooms and equipment.
- Assists with receipt and inspection of raw materials, and ordering and stocking of materials and equipment.
- High school diploma and/or certification by a nationally recognized body
- Electronic mail software and medical software experience preferred
- Superior service orientation mentality

- Social perceptiveness
- Problem sensitivity
