Incredible Product Owner opportunity at Physicians Mutual!

With minimal supervision within an Agile Organization, the Product Owner is responsible for working with the stakeholders to elaborate features, define stories and prioritize the Team Backlog with a focus on corporate and architectural priorities. The Product Owner is responsible for the application(s) their assigned development team enhances and maintains. They will also play a significant role in the overall quality of the solutions delivered. The Product Owner is the only individual on the team empowered to accept user stories by working with stakeholders to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maximizing the value of the solutions delivered by the development team
• Working with feature stakeholders to refine and prepare feature backlog for quarterly planning
• Providing clarity and direction to the team during quarterly and iteration planning
• Preparing team backlog for quarterly planning and execution

Qualifications:

• College degree with major course work in business, management information systems, computer science or equivalent training/experience required
• 5 years of progressive experience in IT, financial services or other related industry required
• 2 years of experience in an agile environment working with business requirement or project/product management

Preferred:

• Insurance industry knowledge
• Scrum experience
• Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe Certification, Certified Business Analysis Professional and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
