Credentialing Specialist Job Description

Medical office seeking an experienced credentialing specialist to aid in credentialing and re-credentialing of medical providers and organizations in Columbia, SC, 29223.

Responsibilities:

  • 1 year experience with physician credentialing
  • Familiarity with credentialing system (CAQH)
  • Communicate with insurance companies to assure provider credentialing and re-credentialing is completed correctly and efficiently
  • Complete and submit credentialing application
  • Maintain and update credentialing spreadsheets
  • Respond to credentialing inquires by clients or management regarding credentialing status
  • Ability to adapt to constant change and still meet deadlines
  • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in credentialing
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (preferred)

Working Hours:

Expected hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday
