Physician Group Practice is Hiring a Patient Access Specialist Near Huntersville, NC

Our busy medical practice is looking for an experienced Patient Access Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing patient access operations, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare office administration and a passion for providing excellent customer service. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.

Job Duties:

  • Greeting patients, registering demographic and insurance information
  • Answering phones and scheduling appointments in a friendly manner
  • Verifying insurance benefits to determine patient responsibility
  • Posting appropriate charges and collecting patient balances
  • Accurate EHR data entry and chart management
  • Responding to and completing medical records requests timely
  • Coordinating and disseminating various incoming medical documents
  • Other related clerical responsibilities as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient access processes with efficiency
  • Follow policies and procedures as outlined by the practice
  • Ensure adherence to compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Review patient access data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate effectively to provide excellent customer service and ensure patient satisfaction

*Only candidates with previous medical office experience will be considered.
