PHYSICIAN CHOICE HOME HEALTH CARE LLC is Hiring a Home Health Aide Near Montrose, OH

Job Description:

Qualifiedcaregivers must be reliable, dependable, honest, and caring. Some caregiversmay need to take clients to appointments or run errands; this will require them to possess avalid driver’s license, have current automobile insurance, and reliable vehicle.Caregivers must be observant enough to recognize changes in their clients, andbe capable of alerting the appropriate personnel when necessary.

Role

Caregiversprovide paraprofessional services to the agency’s home care clients, as assessedin the care plan and in compliance with the client’s Service Agreement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

1.Experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilledfacility.

2.Must meet hiring criteria as defined in the agency’s minimumstandards.

3.Must be able to function with minimal supervision, acceptingpersonal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with theclient.

4.Must accept responsibility for maintaining skills and learningon an ongoing basis, as well as adhering to agency policies.

5.Does not administer medication or perform any proceduresrequiring the knowledge or skills of a licensed nurse or registered therapist.

6.Must pass all background screening with satisfactory results.

Major Responsibilities

1.Responsible for assisting clients with their personal care needsin accordance with the care plan and qualifications.

2.Responsible for assisting clients with activities of dailyliving in a safe and beneficial manner. (ADL/IADL)

3.Must possess respectful, clear, and effective communicationskills

Physical Qualifications

1.Able to work an average of 20-40 hours per week.

2.Able to bend, climb, stoop, and stand an average of 5 hours perday.

3.Able to lift 20-30 pounds.

4.Able to use tools necessary for job.

Requirements:

*Experience as a caregiver in a home care setting or skilled facility ispreferred

*Must pass national and multi-jurisdictional background checks, Department ofMotor Vehicle checks, as well as drug screening tests

*Must be able to meet quality standards of care during shifts and followstandard procedures for engaging with the rest of the care team

*Must possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
