Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Physician Assistant to the group at South Brooklyn Health. The Hospital is part of the NYC Health Hospitals System (NYCHHC). South Brooklyn Health accommodates more than 250,000 outpatient visits, more than 89,000 emergency room visits, and with 371 beds, more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. 

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a full time Physician Assistant to work in our Medicine Department. Daytime schedule

Responsibilities Include:

• Attend to patients in the emergency room awaiting beds in the Medicine Inpatient Units
• Liaise with Emergency Medicine and Medicine Department staff
• Perform history and physical examinations, Order diagnostic tests based on assessments
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe drugs and other therapies as needed
• Consult with supervising medical provider when appropriate

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program
• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA
• Cultural sensitivity to a diverse and under-served patient population
• Must have proven ability to work in a team environment

• Salary Range: $120,000- $160,000
