Physician Affiliate Group of New York is Hiring an OB/GYN Physician Near Jackson, NY

Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an OB/GYN physician to the group at Gotham Health/Roosevelt, an ambulatory FQHC community-based practice for the NYC Health Hospitals System, located in the Jackson Heights section of Queens. Our dedicated team at NYC Health Hospitals/Gotham Health provides coordinated care using the best clinical practices and tools to manage patient health. We provide the full spectrum of care for children and adults. Because we are part of the largest public health care system in the country, we can provide easy referrals to a vast network of hospitals, home care services, nursing homes and specialty care providers across the city.

Responsibilities

  • 5 days a week – 8:30a to 4:30p (4 days), 11pm – 7pm (1 day)
  • One Saturday a month (trading off a weekday)
  • No call at present
  • No hospital coverage or activity at present or planned

GYNECOLOGY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides primary health care to non-pregnant; asymptomatic women for health maintenance, including family planning services.
  • Recognizes deviations from normal and refer to appropriate medical/social services.
  • Requests and/or perform specific diagnostic procedures with appropriate consultation with the physician.
  • Recognizes common gynecologic disorders and provides treatment within the prescribed protocol.
  • Manages therapy for specific gynecology disorders.
  • Supports and instructs the patient with respect to problems specific to female health, including counseling related to sexuality, family dynamics, infertility, family planning, self-breast examination, and menopause.

OBSTETRICS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Antepartum Care
    • Establish the status of the present pregnancy and identify risks, present or potential.
    • Assume responsibility for the management of the care of the mother and fetus throughout pregnancy, as long as progress meets criteria as normal.
    • Request and/or perform diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Possess or eligible for a New York State License
