Join Our Dynamic, Customer Centric Team at Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers as an Accounts Receivable Representative!

Are you ready to make a positive impact by joining an energetic and innovative healthcare environment? Jump on this exciting opportunity to be part of a billing and collections department from its inception! We're looking for a motivated AR Representative to join our team as we grow this new department. As an Accounts Receivable Representative, you will play an integral role in ensuring the financial health of our clinics. This is a fully remote position. Anticipated start day is June 1, 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize reporting to identify unpaid claims from payers to collect outstanding payment
  • Communicate with payers regarding outstanding claims and requests for additional information
  • Post insurance payments and perform payer audits to assure payment accuracy
  • Work closely with clinic Front Desk staff and Directors to collect outstanding patient balances
  • Utilize insurance carrier websites clearinghouse work queues to investigate information needed for claim resolution
  • Keep current with claim adjudication procedures, timely filing limits; following carrier guidelines for corrected claims and appeals
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ICD-10 codes, CPT billing codes, use of modifiers for timely payment 
  • Keep current with PTSMC insurance participation, fee schedules, coverage, billing guidelines and policies
  • Provide customer centric service with all internal and external telephone and written communications

Qualifications:

  • 1- 2 years’ medical accounts receivable experience (experience in physical therapy a plus)
  • Strong computer skills with ability to navigate multiple platforms in a paperless environment
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service focused with a friendly, outgoing demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a remote environment
