Summary:

Role is responsible for operating and maintaining a laser cutting machine and time saver grinder to produce high-quality parts and components.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to specifications.
• Load and unload materials onto the machine.
• Perform typical laser cutting operations.
• Select proper cutting programs, and proper fixtures.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Monitor the machine during operation to ensure quality and accuracy..
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform additional responsibilities if requested by manager.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating laser cutting machines is preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic math and ability to read blueprints.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
• Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Work will be performed primarily in a manufacturing environment.
• Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes.
• May require extended periods of standing or sitting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting may be required.
