Phoenix Swim Academy is a local swim school looking to add to our swim family!

THIS POSITION WILL START OFF AS PART-TIME AND COULD GROW INTO FULL-TIME IF WANTED. WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING SOMEONE FOR THE CURRENT SHIFTS.
THIS IS NOT A SEASONAL JOB
Responsibilities:
- Open & Closing duties
- Conduct swim lessons for individuals or groups of all ages and skill levels
- Create and implement lesson plans to ensure progression and skill development
- Provide a safe and positive learning environment for all participants
- Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and water safety
- Monitor and assess participants' progress and provide feedback for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents that occur during lessons
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the pool area
Experience:
- Working with Special Needs
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or swim instructor is required
- Experience in sports coaching, childcare, or other related fields is a plus
- Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming strokes and techniques
- Ability to educate and engage with participants of different ages and skill levels
- Knowledge of additional sports or activities such as judo, martial arts, or basketball is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and interact with participants
- Ability to manage behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Physical fitness to demonstrate swimming techniques and assist participants in the water
- Ability to climb in and out of the pool multiple times during lessons

Requirements:
- CPR, FIRST AID, BSL, WSI, LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATIONS
- 2 year swim instructor experience
- 2 years of Water Polo and/or Swim Experience
- Live Scan
- Background Check
- On Call
- Saturdays Required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
