Description

The Footprint Center is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Social Media Coordinator for the G League expansion team. This position will support our G League team, focused on managing our social media platforms, facilitating game coverage, deploying the latest content strategies, and growing engagement across our G League social channels

What You Will Do:

This position will perform duties which include, but are not limited to:

  • Cultivate fan engagement, plan, and craft social media posts & campaigns, optimizing campaign performance across G League social channels.
  • Build and maintain a daily, weekly, and monthly social media calendar for both organic and branded content.
  • Lead community management across social channels with fans and players.
  • Leverage trending topics and conversations in real-time to capitalize on content opportunities to amplify the voice of our G League team.
  • Perform social media tasks on game days by cutting video clips and posting across social media channels in real time.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Social Strategy on growth strategies to reach core social media KPIs.
  • Support the Partnerships team with planning and coordination of partner activations, such as digital and social deliverables, branded content, and video series.

What we need from our Marketing Manager, G League:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a challenging environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to develop relationships.
  • Ability to operate with confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • A passion for social media strategy and online community building.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, evening, weekends, holidays, including traveling to away games with the team.
  • A passion for basketball and sports

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • 1 years of experience managing social brand, voice, strategy.
  • Experience supporting social strategies across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and other emerging platforms.
  • Fundamental understanding of social media platforms, with the ability to educate various internal departments on the ever-changing world of social trends and culture.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite/Premiere is preferred.
  • Experienced as a content creator, shooter, and editor to execute content in real time across multiple platforms is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site - this is nota remote position

  • This position has a variable schedule based on Arena needs which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate. When work is required on evenings or weekends this position can flex to take other days off during the week
  • Local travel may be required for work-related events, including some overnight travel up to 10% of the time
  • This position works mainly indoors, removed from extreme weather; exposure to weather (<5%)
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Position is predominately computer-based, requiring the use of a computer monitor
  • Must be able to carry a conversation both on the phone and in person
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
